Tree Count Widget

Static Widget

A static widget will appear as a block element on your webpage. Depending where you place the HTML code

<skoot:treecount handle="dpcleitao" position="static"></skoot:treecount>

within the body tag of your code, you can influence its position as it will populate as a block.

Floating Widget

If you selected the floating widget option, the widget will appear on top of your content of the respective container that you placed the HTML code into.

<skoot:treecount handle="dpcleitao" position="static"></skoot:treecount>

It will be positioned to the bottom left or bottom right of the containing element, depending on your position selection in the dashboard. You can choose different positioning for each created widget.

Inline Text

The inline text widget allows you to only fetch the statistic itself as an inline element. The inline text set-up allows you to seamlessly integrate the statistic into your content flow. You can mention the statistic for example within a paragraph.

How to add a SKOOT's Tree Widget

Adding a tree widget to your website is simple. Follow these steps to create a tree widget:

 • Simply go to the SKOOT dashboard and click on the menu item ‘Tree count widget.’
 • Select a widget positioning for this generated widget (Floating, static or inline)
 • Add the HTML code within the body of your webpage.
 • Then copy the widget script and place it right before the end of the body tag in your code. If that is not possible, make sure the script is called after all page content is loaded, as the script will otherwise not be able to find the correct information.
 • The script will now fetch your forest handle from the HTML code and return your statistics.
 • Refresh your website.

Once you have followed these steps, your tree count widget will appear on your website. If you have any issues please email us at [email protected]. We will get back to you as quickly as possible.
