SKOOT Trees For Peace
Many of us have felt helpless watching what has been happening in Ukraine and we wanted to show our support but also provide a way for people to donate money to support the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) and the humanitarian crisis.
For every donation on our Just Giving page, we'll plant 5 trees for you for free.
Every penny helps, whether it's £5 or £500;
- £30 could buy essential hygiene for 3 people
- £50 could provide blankets for 4 families
- £100 could provide enough food for 2 families for a month
18 million people have already been affected with 4 million people displaced. The magnitude of the problem is difficult to comprehend, but it's akin to thinking of our top 5 biggest cities in the UK and emptying them.
But not only are they empty, there are millions of people homeless, without food, water, sanitation, in the middle of winter. Not withstanding losing love ones.
So to help do our little bit, we're donating 100,000 trees as a symbol of our support.
We hope it helps raise awareness and provide a nudge to donate. We'll plant a tree for you in our designated site with our NGO Eden Reforestation to say thank you for your donation.
We'll also create your own personal virtual forest, like this which will show the trees you've planted.
